cybertunnel - giga texas

The Cybertunnel was purpose-built at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin to transport finalized Cybertrucks directly from the end of the production line to the final staging area located on the other side of an 8-lane state highway. This tunnel provides a safe, 60-second underground connection, bypassing the previous 12-minute drive on surface roads.

To construct the Cybertunnel, the Prufrock-3 boring machine “porpoised" out of the ground onto “The Monster” (large retrieval structure) inside the already-constructed factory, and exited the building on an SPMT (Self-Propelled Modular Transporter).
